He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Dan Stemple. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Stemple; his son Benjamin "B. J." Hothem (Karen) of Maryland; his grandchildren, Joseph "J. B." Hothem and Grace C. Hothem; his brother David A. H. Nylund (Becky) of Stone Creek; his aunt Mary Whitaker; and his sister-in-law Barbara Stemple of Uhrichsville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
