He was predeceased by: his father Earl Winkler; his son Jeff Winkler; his sister Mary VanDyke; and his half-siblings, Max, Earl Ripley and Ruth Rennicker.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Kline (Tom) of New Philadelphia, Jay Winkler of New Philadelphia and Janie Dockus (Charles) of Canton; his grandchildren, Kelly Cappel of Dover, Casey Kline of Philadelphia, PA and Clarissa Gregg of Colorado; and his great grandchild Jeremy Cappel.
