It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ivan Arthur Mitchell of New Philadelphia, Ohio, born in Glenford, Ohio, who passed away on November 18, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan W. Mitchell and Mary Loughman Mitchell; and his brother Clifford Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Haufe; his daughters, Mary Long (Jeff) of Tuscarawas and Susan Liptak (Andrew) of Green; his stepchildren, Rebecca Morrison (David) of Akron and Terry Bloom of Streetsboro; his grandchildren, Shane, Austin, Lauren Long, Ashley, Holly and Emily Liptak; his stepgrandchildren, Trinity, Victoria, Isaac and Isaiah Morrison; his sister Eva May Rhodes (Jack) of Somerset; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Mitchell of Gratiot Ohio. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and numerous cousins and long-time friends.
At this time, the six-foot rule will be honored and all guests are required to wear a mask to enter the funeral home.
