He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Burky and Bernice Burky (Mutti); and his brother-in-law Tom Ruehr. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Carruthers; his son Gary Chad Burky of New Philadelphia; his stepdaughters, Diane Carper (Tony Pfenning) of Dover and Julie Greenwood (David) of Stone Creek; his grandchildren, Clayton Burky, Chloe Carper, Will Carper, Bryan Greenwood and Cory Greenwood (Morgan); his great grandchildren, Ellis Greenwood and Brooks Greenwood; his siblings, Evelyn Ruehr of California, Wayne Burky (Ruth) of New Philadelphia, Dean Burky (Marcia) of Bolivar and Dan Burky (Marsha) of Sugarcreek; and his nieces and nephews, Katie (Manny Weaver), Christine (Todd Kendle), Mike Burky (Ann), Scott Burky, Maresa Burky, Denise Kaub (Dave) and Brent Ruehr (Jennifer).
