He was predeceased by: his siblings, Carl Hughes and Priscilla Lorenz; and his grandson Steven Hughes. He is survived by: his spouse Doris M. Foster; his sons, Eugene Hughes (Patricia) and Steven Hughes (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Michael Hughes (Kimm) of South Carolina and Christine Stewart of New Philadelphia; and his great grandchildren, Evan Hughes (Gamika) of Uhrichsville, Nicole West of Wooster and Brianna Stewart of New Philadelphia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
