It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eunice Jean Cookson of New Philadelphia, Ohio, who passed away on March 23, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lowell Kiser and Verna Kiser (Bennington); her son Benjamin "Benjy" Cookson, III; her son-in-law Freeman "Butch" Nelson; and her sisters, Helen Watson and Doris Reidel.
She is survived by: her husband Ben; her former husband Benjamin Cookson, Jr.; her pet Bella; her daughters, Gloria Jean James of Reynoldsburg and Marsha Rae Nelson of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Paul Elliott, Jr. (Kim), Shawn Elliott (Stephanie), Benjamin Cookson, IV, Melissa Cookson and Stephanie Carlisle (Aaron); her great grandchildren, Megan Elliott, Jack, Riley Elliott, Benjamin Cookson, Colby Cookson, Cooper and Kinsey Carlisle; her brother Melvin "Bud" Kiser; her daughter-in-law Sandra Cookson; and her friend Larry Krauss. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
