It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Maxine Hughes of New Philadelphia, Ohio, born in Bedford, Ohio, who passed away on June 21, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Everett Foster and Margaret Foster (Ashcraft); her grandparents, Simon Ashcraft and Sadie Ashcraft (Dickerson); her husband Floyd Hughes; her sons, Eugene Hughes of New Philadelphia and Steven Hughes (Carolyn) of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Michael Hughes (Kimm) of Bluffton and Christine Stewart (Steve DiDonato) of New Philadelphia; her great grandchildren, Evan Hughes (Gamika) of Uhrichsville, Nicole West of Madison and Brianna Stewart of New Philadelphia; her great great grandchild Leah Hughes; her daughter-in-law Patricia Hughes; her grandson Steven Hughes; her sister Lola; and her brother-in-law Lister Endsley. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
