She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Konowal and Laverne Konowal (Nevins). She is survived by: her husband Richard A. Smart; her children, Richele M. Smart of Dover and James W. Smart (Abby) of Dover; and her grandchildren, Taylor, Maddie, Rion, Olivia and Avery.
