He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Stephan and Erma Stephan (Mathias); his son Jerry; his daughter-in-law Dianne Ackerman; and his siblings, Polly Dinger, Joy Morris, Glenda Prillwitz and Wayne Stephan.
He is survived by: his sons, Todd Stephan (Terry) of New Philadelphia, Dan Stephan (Joyce) of Dover and Gary Stephan of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Joe Stephan (Jennifer), Mike Stephan, Nicole Stephan (Bill Angione), Amanda Stephan, Joni Homan (Dave), Tom Ackerman (Kera), Aaron and Alaina Fisher; his great grandchildren, Penelope, Julia Stephan, Anna Kate and Claire Lauren Ackerman; and his siblings, Carol Watson of New Philadelphia, Dean Stephan (Sue) of New Philadelphia and Steve Stephan of New Philadelphia.
