He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Festi Carpenter; his children, Elizabeth Carpenter of South Canton, Edward Fantin (Jennifer) of Carrollton and Mary Jo Fantin of Gnadenhutten; his grandchildren, Arianna Carpenter, Audreanne Shedron, Alexandre Smart, Anthony Poorman, Franchesca Fantin and Dylan Fantin; his great grandchild Aubree Shedron; and his siblings, Keith Carpenter (Kathy), Dennis Carpenter, Kathy Ashley and Susie Hemphill. He is also survived by numerous niece and nephews.
