He was predeceased by: his father Clayton Eugene Smart, Sr.; and his stepfathers, Carl Ondash and James Albaugh. He is survived by: his mother Linda Mae Smart-Ondash (Butler) of New Philadelphia; his children, Ashley Garvin, Erica Smart (Alvin Bell) and Clayton J. Smart; his grandchildren, Natashauna Martin, Sofya Smart and Aariyah Smart; his siblings, David Smart, Diane Moore (Ray), Chad Ondash (Maggie) and Danielle Millican (Michael); his niece Katie Stickler; and his friends, Donnie, Brenda, Flossie, Bill and C. J..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family in care of the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home, Inc., 26 Grant St., Dennison, OH 44621-1269 to help defray the cost of his final expenses.
