He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Fredrick William and Gladys Mechelke (Cordin); and his brother William Mechelke. He is survived by: his wife Louise Bacon; his daughter Sandra Mechelke of New Philadelphia; and his stepchildren, Mick Bacon of Dennison, Bill Bacon (Tamara) of New Philadelphia and Sharon Williamson (Randy) of New Philadelphia. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
