She was predeceased by: her parents, Aura Maple and Hazel Maple (Oberholtzer); her husband Richard C. Smith; and her siblings, Phyllis McQuiston (Russell), Dorothy Rupert (George), Edgar Maple (Mary Ann) and Paul Maple (Patricia).
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheryl Bucher (Sherman) of New Philadelphia, Karen Smith Maize of Dover and Sandra Smith Newbold of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Gretchen Pearce (Robbie), Sherman David Bucher (Erin), Tyler Newbold, Bryce Newbold and Amber Maize; her great grandchildren, Amelia, Genevieve, Hattie Mae, Jackson, Macy, Landon, Lexi and Bella; and her great great grandchild Annaliese. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
