He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Winkler and Betty Lou Winkler (Burtt); his son Captain Lee R. Winkler; and his siblings, Kathy K. Winkler and Terry Dean Winkler.
He is survived by: his wife Lois A. Winkler (Fryman); his daughter Lisa A. Winkler of New Paris, OH; and his sisters, Christine Winkler of Beavercreek, OH, Sarah Jo Coffey of Cambridge City, IN and Cynthia Ann Delucio (Tom) of Richmond, IN.
