He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard L. Shives and Larie Shives (Skillman); and his significant other Betty Eileen Shives (Detamore). He is survived by: his children, John Shives (Rene Benanzer) of Greenville, David Shives (Jill Waymire) of Greenville and Anne Hoenes (John) of Centerville; his grandchildren, Emily Hartman (Jay), Rachel Silknitter (Nathan), Margaret Shives, Clint Shives, Ashley Yount (Dustin), Mary Hoenes and Andrew Hoenes; and his brother Jackie Ray Shives (Jan Drew). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
