She was predeceased by: her parents, Neville Ballard and Beulah Ballard (Hulett); her husband George Everett Townsend; and her brothers, Robert Ballard and Neville Ballard.

She is survived by: her son Tyle; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Townsend (Sorrell) of New Madison; her daughters, Linda (Jack Kraemer) and Patti (Stacey Johnson); her grandchildren, Dustin Townsend of New Madison, Tennille (Townsend), Justin Brown of New Madison, Taylor Kraemer (Michelle) of Chicago, Mitchell Kraemer of Chicago, Jacob, Deana Moore (Mugimu) of Ft. Worth and Mackenzie Moore of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her great grandchildren, Abbie Townsend Rogers, Brooks Kraemer and Reese Kraemer; her brothers, Woody (Donna Ballard) and Jim (Donna Ballard); her sisters-in-law, Roxie Ballard of Dayton and Joy (Jim Albright); and her pet Princess. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
