He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Schaar and Ruth Schaar; his wife Carolyn Schaar; his son Rodger Schaar (Rhonda Schaar); his granddaughter Alexa Schaar; and his great grandchild Whitney Sparks.
He is survived by: his children, Randy (Brenda Schaar), Ron (Melinda Schaar) and Rae Jean Collins of New Madison; and his grandchildren, Mica, Adam Spidel, MaKole Schaar, Duane Sparks, Tyler Cordle, Leslie, Josh Crye, Monica, Greg Selby, Erin Schaar, Amy, Chase Harshbarger, Jessica Collins, Taylor, Evan Barger, Austin, Marisa Schaar, Adam Schaar and Alyse Schaar. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and several close friends.
