He is survived by: his wife Shirley Burton (Byron); his children, Lon Burton (Chris) of New London, Shawn Burton (Tina) of Medina, Vaughn Burton of Tampa, FL. and Dawn Luedy (Tony) of Greenwich; and his grandchildren, Crystal, Diana, Emily, Debra, Kelly, Shawn, Cole and Morgan. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
