He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Herold and Irene Herold (Lockwood); his daughter Miriam I. Hawk; and his brothers, Willard and Earl Herold.
He is survived by: his wife Helen E. Herold (Hite) of New London; his son Robert L. Herold of New London; and his grandchildren, Joseph D. Albright of New Springfield, Janet I. Brauen (Samuel) of Bluffton and Robert J. Herold of Eugene. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, and by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to donor's favorite charity in honor of Robert.
