He was predeceased by: his parents, James P. Helms and Amanda Helms; and his brothers, Jimmy Caines and Charles Caines. He is survived by: his wife Marla; his children, Jeff Helms, Tim Helms and Dena LeFever; and his grandchildren, Ashleigh McConkey of Ashland, Nick Helms of Ashland, Tanner Adkins of Ashland, Reece Adkins of Ashland, Josh Dickinson of Ashland, Silas Helms of Ashland, Lindsey Bowersock of Ashland, Danielle Mechling of Ashland, McKenzie Mechling of Ashland and Leland Mechling of Ashland. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
