She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Parsons and Alta Parsons (Hall); her former husband Albert Hamilton; her husband Donald Akers; her children, Daphne Dawn Hamilton and Albert Hamilton Jr.; and her brother Wilburn Parsons Jr. A.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Hamilton, Ronald Hamilton (Linda), Tony Hamilton, Buddy Hamilton, Bo Hamilton, Pamela Gardner (James), Mary VonBehren and Libby Ives (Rick); her siblings, Wanda Stewart, Ezella Hale, Regina Kidd (Henry) and Faye Carroll (Edgar); and her sister-in-law Judy Parsons. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
