He was predeceased by: his son Jonathan Kistler; and his grandparents, Artemus, Nola Pearl Mullins, Ray and Colleen Kistler.
He is survived by: his wife Misty Kistler; his children, Bridget Kistler of New London and Derek Kistler (Olivia) of Ft Drum; his grandchildren, Breanna, Jalen and Gracie; his parents, Eric Kistler and Carol Kistler; and his siblings, Ryan Kistler (Melinda) of New London, Janet Balzer of Oberlin and Evonne Richards of Medina. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
