It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John I. Vernon Jr. of New Lexington, Ohio, who passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John I. Vernon Sr. and Francis E. Caster Vernon; his wife Marjorie A. Cleveland Vernon; and his siblings, Edgar Rawland Vernon, Francis Vernon, Murray Eugene Vernon, Jean Bosley, Madeline Wilson and Elizabeth Deitrich.
He is survived by: his sons, John D. Vernon (Susan) and Gary D. (Mary). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home (304 Mill St, New Lexington, OH 43764). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (201 W Brown St, New Lexington, OH 43764). The military honors will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Lexington Cemetery (440 Swigart St, New Lexington, OH 43764). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 201 West Brown Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
