He was predeceased by: his father Charles Richard Shimp. He is survived by: his close friend Ron; his children, Kristen Collins (Justin), Brooke Doak (Logan) and Austin Shimp; his mother Joyce A. Shimp (Guinn); his brothers, Jim Shimp (Sandy) and Jeff Shimp (Pam); his grandchildren, Barrett, Lilah Doak, Carter and Marlee Collins; and the mother of his child Jenny Shimp. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 in John's memory.
