He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Owens and Sarah Owens (Douglas); and his siblings, Cecil M. Owens, Wolford Owens, James H. Owens, Thelma Brown (Owens) and Cleada M. Petrey (Owens).
He is survived by: his children, Deborah King (Craig Carpenter) and Anthony "Tony" Owens (Betsy); his grandchildren, Lara E. Waldemar (Owens), Franklin, Megan A. Owens, Kristin L. Shepherd (King), John, Aaron J. King and Jennifer; his great grandchildren, Miya Sarver (Foster), Noah R. Shepherd and Violet Lopez; and his great great grandchildren, Luna Sarver and Parker Sarver.
