With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Preston Andrew Deerhake of New Knoxville, Ohio, born in Saint Marys, Ohio, who passed away on June 22, 2024 at the age of 20. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Preston may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He is survived by : his parents, Jade Deerhake of New Knoxville and David Starr of Botkins; his grandfather Todd Deerhake of New Knoxville; his great-grandparents, Bob and Sandra Deerhake of New Knoxville; his siblings, Gunar Starr and Daisy Starr; his grandmother Tamela Fetters (Rodney) of Van Wert; and his great-grandparents, Linda, Steven Schroer of New Bremen, Delores and William Starr of Montezuma.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Church of New Knoxville (200 W Bremen St, New Knoxville, OH 45871). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
