He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty L. Opperman (Fogt) and Eugene E. Opperman, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Ruth E. Eschmeyer; his children, Mark A. Opperman (Edie) of Botkins and Michelle K. Niemeyer of New Knoxville; his grandchildren, Alycia Niemeyer Raterman (Jon), Kyle Opperman (Aimee), Kimberly Opperman, Taylor Niemeyer Mullins (Trent), Anthony Opperman (Abigale) and Andrew Opperman; his great grandchildren, Grace, Ella, Briggs Mullins, Vincent, Aubree Raterman, Carter Opperman and Savannah Hills; and his sister Florence Schroer (Don). He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the New Knoxville United Methodist Church (109 S Main St, New Knoxville, OH 45871). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
