He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Bryenton and Priscilla E. Bryenton (Kruse); his sister Jean Bryenton; his son-in-law Steven Nelson; and his stepgrandson Robin Cox.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley A. Meyer (Stienecker); and his children, Patricia Nelson (John Pape) of New Bremen, Patrick "Buz" Meyer (Rachel) of Celina, Penny Cox (Collin) of New Knoxville and Preston Meyer (Carol) of New Knoxville. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and their spouses, 30 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the New Knoxville Methodist Church (1001 Mission Drive, Pawnee, IL 62558). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
