We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Matheresa Lynn Showalter of New Holland, Ohio, born in Washington Court House, Ohio. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carey Sr. and Ruth Showalter. She is survived by: her children, Heather Palm (Jeremy Robinson) of Chillicothe, Cardia Carr (Nathan) of New Holland, Breanna Hampp of Chillicothe and Kenneth Hampp, Jr. of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Robert Joseph Palm, Jr., Jeremy Robinson, Jr., Jayahnna Robinson, Bentley James Queen, Kenleigh Queen, Michael T. Queen and Benjamin James Carr; and her siblings, Rebecca Showalter of Athens, George Carey of Athens, James Carey of New Holland and Anthony Carey (Amanda) of Athens. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contribution can be made to the Ware Funeral Home.
