He was predeceased by: his parents, George Marion and Artie Mae Doyle Stewart; his siblings, Manley Stewart, Marion Stewart, Belva Stephens and Gladys Langer; and his sister-in-law Edith Mae Stewart.
He is survived by: his significant other Geneva Everhart Stewart; and his son John Michael Stewart (Brandy) of Miami, Florida.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
