With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Smith (New Holland, Ohio), born in Fayette County, Ohio, who passed away on December 22, 2018 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Denver and Lucy Ellen Hamilton Smith; and his siblings, Robert Smith, Richard Smith, George Smith, Howard Smith, Gary Smith, Betty Jones, Sarah Glassner, Linda Smith and Carolyn Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lee Self Shipley; his children, Pamela Jo Kuss (Patrick) of Springfield, Eldon Lee Smith of New Holland and George Richard Smith (India) of New Holland; his grandchildren, Ashley Blancet (Gary) of Springfield, Dakota Smith of New Holland, Alyssa Massie (Justin) of Springfield and Allison Smith of New Holland; his great grandchildren, Zoey Mason and Bennett Massie; his brother Darrell Dean Smith (Mary Kay) of Arizona; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Shipley (Virginia) of New Holland, Aaron Sr. Shipley (Monica) of New Holland, Terry Shipley of New Holland, Jack Thompson of Washington, Chelsea Smith, Jane Smith, Patsy Smith and Jean Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
