He is survived by: his wife Ginger Bates (Fitzgerald); his children, Staci Baker (Kenny) and Jeffrey Bates (Tonya); his grandchildren, Dakota Baker, Hunter Bennett (Cole), Skyler Bates, Gavin Bates, Stehl Bates and Aspen Bates; his brothers, Fred Bates, Bob Bates (Nancy) and John Bates (Mary); and his sisters-in-law, Sherry Jirles (Phil), Yvonne Kornokovich (Jim) and Cindy Oliver. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
