It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Lee Dewitt of New Carlisle, Ohio, who passed away on March 16, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clell Dewitt and Laura Black Dewitt Lowe; his son Larry Virgil Dewitt; his siblings, Dennis Dewitt, Bonnie Howard, Phyllis Phipps and Patty Hodge; and his wife Darlene Lewis Dewitt.
He is survived by: his son David Lee Dewitt of Tipp City, Ohio; his granddaughters, Angela Dawn Dillon (Robert) of New Carlisle, Ohio and Jessica Lynn Maxwell (Jason) of New Carlisle, Ohio; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Joseph and Samuel; and his siblings, Dale Dewitt (Gail) of West Liberty and Sue Roe of Springfield, Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends.
