He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Sterrett and Gladys Sterrett; and his siblings, Lois Ann Hoskinson and Richard Sterrett. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane; his children, Rebecca Sillaman (John), Mark Sterrett (Sandy) and Melinda Ehret (David); his brother Gary Sterrett (Penny); and his brother-in-law Tom Denison. He is also survived by 8 grandsons; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
