He was predeceased by: his wife Harriet Artz; his stepson Robert Zerbe; his parents, Floy Artz and Ruth Artz (Skillings); his stepmother May Mickle Artz; his siblings, Marilyn Butschillinger (Ron), Irene Artz, Mary Artz, Susan Artz, Isabelle Hinkle, Clarence, Grant, Chester, Wesley, James and David Artz; and his siblings-in-law, Lorene, Esther, Yvonne, Nina Artz, Homer Weaver and Sam Hinkle.

He is survived by: his son Jack Artz (Nancy); his daughter-in-law Marge Zerbe; his grandchildren, Karen Allison (Michael), Kevin Zerbe (Rick), Jennifer Carco (Anthony) and Daniel Artz (Hien); his great grandchildren, Brenna Allison, Matthew Allison, Amelia Carco, Eliana Carco, Isabella Carco and Dean Artz; and his siblings, Helen Weaver, Phyllis Helton (Morty), Barbara Stahly, Evelyn Stauffer (Wayne) and Phillip Artz.

A reception will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel (3970 Dayton Xenia Rd, Dayton, OH 45432).
