He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Gibson and Rachel Gibson (Swartzbaugh); and his close friend Juanita "Kim" Carter. He is survived by: his son Robert "Chip" Gibson Jr. (Tracy) of Kansas City, MO; his stepdaughter Raven Baker; his grandsons, Will Lewis-Griggs, Robert "Jake" Gibson III, Noah Gibson and Zach Gibson; and his brother John Gibson (Gloria) of Ohio. He is also survived by aunt, niece, cousins, and friends.
