With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Gary Brookey of New Carlisle, Ohio, born in Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on January 7, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Robert Gary may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert Gary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Elwood Brookey, Sr. (Dee) and Ruth Mae Rowland (Jess); and his brother Thomas Elwood Brookey, Jr. (Bob). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Brookey; his daughter Lisa Olwin (James); his grandson Joshua Mooney (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Carly Harper and Evelyn Mooney. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
