She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Hoening and Rosa Hoening; her husband Charles B. McCarthy; her siblings, Paul Hoening, Jr., Eugene Hoening (Pee Wee), Ruby Monnier (Hoening) and Carl Hoening; and her in-laws, Dorthea McCarthy, Angela Mae Schubert, John (Fred) and Patrica McCarthy.
She is survived by: her family, Cynthia Elaine McCarthy, Charlene Marie Henderson, Bryan Patrick, Katherine McCarthy (Gueth), Michael (Emily Kondracki) and Shannon; her grandchildren, James Robert, Elizabeth McCarthy (Harris), Nate, Noah, Donna (Wagner), Christopher Lee, Jessica Denny (Adams), Lilly, Lucas and Lucy; her sister Joan Helton (Bill Denlinger); her siblings-in-law, Margaret Hoening (Marfay), Mary Lou Hoening and George Monnier; and her godchildren, Jennifer, Fahnestock, Herb Hoening, Georgia Monnier and Linda Boerger (Hoening). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home (507 Jefferson St, New Carlisle, OH 45344). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (209 W Lake Ave, New Carlisle, OH 45344).
