He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Pelphrey and Lavada Pelphrey (Reed); and his siblings, Carroll Pelphrey, Donald Ray Pelphrey and Joe Pelphrey.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Pelphrey (Trimble) of New Carlisle; his children, Sheila Leathers (Alan) of Columbus, Bruce Pelphrey (Lisa) of Tipp City and Suzan Pelphrey of New Carlisle; his siblings, Jack Pelphrey of Springfield, Naomi Conley of Huber Heights and Mary Alice Johnson of Hager Hill; his grandchildren, Lauren Gray (Jeremy), Mary Pelphrey, Rachel Leathers, Bruce Reed Pelphrey (Samantha) and James Clayton Pelphrey (Bobbi-Jo); and his great grandchild Genevieve Gray.
