He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Downey and Louise Downey; his son Brian Russell Downey; and his sister Susan Baltuch. He is survived by: his wife Edith; his son Mike; his daughter-in-law Karen Downey; his grandsons, Dustin Downey (Kaela), Brandon Downey (Aunna) and Chad Downey (Dorian); and his great grandchildren, Tahlon, Lukah and Dean. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
