He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Murphy and Rose Murphy; and his siblings, Earl Maynard, Cecil Wayne, Elijah Harlan Jr., Alma Rasnake, Mary Faye Hass and Zella Mae Mills.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Blair, Anita Browning (Sam), Janet Le Master and David Murphy. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
