He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Ayres and Ruth Ayres; his wife Peggy Ayres (Gannon); his sister Marilyn; his brother-in-law George Overholser; and his brother Elias Ayres.
He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Ayres (Julie) and Jeffrey Ayres; his grandchildren, Matthew Ayres, Lindsay Baver (Doug), Zachary Ayres (Katy) and Ryan Ayres; and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Emily, Levi, Zoey, Kane, Kelsey Ayres, Gannon, Julianne and Reed Baver. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pike Township Fire & Rescue.
