He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Burress and Minnie Burress (Sewell); his wife Grace Burress; and his siblings, J. W., Ronald, John Burress, Ethel and Louise.
He is survived by: his children, Pamala Burress, Brenda Jacques and Bobby T. Burress; his sister Ruth Ann Turner; and his niece Sue Howard. He is also survived by four grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
