She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Anthony Daugherty and Mable Gertrude Daugherty Watkins (Swartz); her husband William Carey; and her sister Sara Baxter. She is survived by: her sons, John P. Carey (Signe) of University Park, Mark R. Carey (Nancy) of Upper Sandusky, David W. Carey (Melinda) of Waldo, James A. Carey (Stacie) of New Bloomington and Michael H. Carey (Kellie) of Cheshire; and her brother David Daugherty (Martha) of Marion. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home (201 S Franklin St, Richwood, OH 43344). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
