He is survived by: his wife Helen Schroeder; his children, Jack Aelker (Jackie), Diane Aelker, Joan Harris (Jim) and Dan Aelker (Kelly); his grandchildren, Ashley Urdiales (Alex), Jake Aelker (Kylie), Sarah Harris and Luke Harris; his great grandchildren, Layla Urdiales and Daxton Urdiales; his siblings, Dennis Schuller and Kathy Giesige; and his brother-in-law Richard Kuhlman.
