She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Smith and Mable Fern Smith (Sloan); and her brother Larry Smith. She is survived by: her daughter Kristen; her son-in-law Nicholas Swain of New Albany, Ohio; her daughter Lesley; her son-in-law Dr. James B. Carrico of Anchorage, KY; her grandchildren, Penelope Anne Carrico, Camillia Renee Carrico, Marcella Sloan Swain and Maren McKever Swain; her stepgrandchildren, Melissa Carrico and James Robert Carrico; and her sister-in-law JoAnn Smith.
