It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Kessler Hirsh of New Albany, Ohio, born in New York, New York, who passed away on July 31, 2023, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Charles H. Hirsh; and his sister Karen Hirsh Steitz. He is survived by: his son-in-law Noah; his wife Connie Kessler Hirsh; his mother Carol Hirsh; his daughters, Ariel Hirsh and Alice Hirsh Faust (Noah); his sister Ellen Hirsh (Bill Hartman); his mother-in-law Phyllis Kessler; and his brothers-in-law, Joel Kessler (Arleen) and Dan Kessler (Marlene). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

“Dr. Hirsh made a difference in my life. I saw him once a year and he was always a wonderfully warm presence. I looked forward to the time I would spend in his office with him. I was very happy the year when he finally gave my glasses the seal of approval for at last both being big enough and tinted dark enough. I know he helped many people like me solve the problem of too much light, and artificial light being painful. He will be missed by many and never, ever forgotten.”
