He was predeceased by: his sister Jean Pannell. He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Jean Nix Bridges; his children, Lynn Mayo of Pontotoc, Mitzi Hodges (George), Marilyn Hogue, Billy Joe "Joey" Bridges, Jr. (Debbie) of Pontotoc and Gaylan Dan "Danny" Bridges (Donna) of New Albany; and his brother James Norris Bridges of North Carolina. He is also survived by grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
