He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Sand and Mary "Ollie" Sand (Kintz). He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Scruggs; his children, Shane Sand and Kelly Stone (Kyle); his grandchildren, Shane Sand, Shelbi Sand, Schuyler Sand, Sawyer Sand, Maya Stone and Kanon Stone; and his siblings, Ronald Sand (Carolyn) and Joyce Hessey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.
His family requests that donations be made payable to Trinity Evangelical UMC or to Heartland Hospice.
