He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Bogard and Mabel Bogard (Sours); and his siblings, Virgil Bogard Jr. and Mabel Jean Mossbrugger. He is survived by: his spouse Carolyn McClain; his children, Jill Bogard, Lori Weaver (Lyle) of Upper Sandusky, Jeff Bogard (Paula) of Bucyrus and Todd Bogard (Amy) of Fremont; his grandchildren, Miles Weaver (Lana), Nathan Bogard (Angie), Jessica Schwanger (Jay), Collyn Badenhop (Jacob), Mason Weaver, Travis Bogard and Maddi Snyder; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Brecklyn and Quinn; and his siblings, Bill Bogard (Carolyn), Jerry Bogard (Sylvia) and Donna May Roush (Stanley).
